05.25.07 All of our chassis and swingarm kits that include an Elka shock will now ship with a new preload collar design. Elka Suspension has updated their shocks with an improved pinch bolt preload collar that prevents damaged threads. The collar is also thicker than before allowing for the holes used to adjust the collar to be deeper and have a larger diameter. These changes mean it's easier to make adjustments, and that it's harder to damage the collar while making adjustments to the shock's preload settings. ![]() 05.24.07 Updated: Race Team Page 05.24.07 Reeg MX is sponsoring the NDB Sports race team for the 2007 Canadian Arenacross pitbike series. 05.21.07 Vegas MiniMoto SX Race Report Posted: View Details 05.21.07 Reeg MX is proud to announce our newest race team sponsor, K & N Engineering. K & N's John Jump provided critical support for our race team during this year's MiniMoto SX race in Las Vegas. We can't thank John and K & N enough for their assistance. We hope that our partnership with K & N will lead to new minibike parts, and in particular, a CRF70 specific air filter. Stay tuned. ![]() 05.07.07 For the 3rd year in a row, a Reeg MX race-ready CRF70 has been on display in the upper level of the Orleans Arena during the MiniMoto SX. It began with our vendor booth 3 years ago, displaying the most unique mid-size pitbike then and now. Elka Suspension displayed a Reeg MX built motard prepared CRF70 in 2006. This year, PowerSportsStore.com brought their very own CRF70 with Reeg MX chassis, tripleclamps and light weight billet hubs. 03.26.07 New Reeg MX KLX110 hydraulic brake kit announced. View Details 03.26.07 Photos of the Reeg MX built KLX110 for Ryan Beat's BooKoo Arenacross season added to website. View Photos 3rd Gen. KLX110 Swingarm Kit 01.16.07 3rd Generation Reeg MX KLX110 Swingarm The modifications that were applied to our 2nd generation KLX swingarm kit at the beginning of last year were minor apperance changes that didn't effect performance. The move to our 3rd generation swingarm however, is much more significant. We've completely reworked the geomotry of the suspension, relocating the shock's mounting point in the swingarm to create a stiffer rear-end that allows for more tuning options and accomodates larger riders. The shock tower at first received minor changes as part of the geomotry update, and was then redesigned completely for added strength. To replace his Reeg MX CRF70, we built him a Reeg MX KLX110 from the ground up, incorporating our new 3rd generation KLX110 swingarm with a Classic Honda built motor, and dressed it in white plastics (along with his team's graphics) to nicely match the 250 and 450 that he races in the big bike pro classes of the series. Unfortunately, the bike arrived in Texas later than expected and with a carb. tuning problem that wasn't there when it was crated up in California. These problems resulted in Ryan's first DNF in Fort Worth. The next night brought more problems as Ryan became victim of a prototype failure that lost him the race, but gave us valuable data to improve upon the new design. READING, PA: During the few days in between races, the prototype parts for our 3rd generation KLX110 swingarm were redesigned, machined and then shipped across the country. The new parts proved their value as Ryan returned to the podium with a 3rd place finish at Friday night's race. A misunderstanding of rules led to Saturday night's main event disqualification of Ryan Beat and his teammate Colt Humphrey. CHICAGO, IL: Now that the new bike had been broken in, Ryan easily finished Chicago's Friday night race in 3rd place. He toped this result the next night by finishing in second. Although there are 4 cities and 8 races left, Ryan has all but secured a podium finish for the championship. We expect that with more time on the bike, Ryan will cut down his already blazing fast lap times. BooKoo Arenacross Website News Archives: 2006 Reeg MX News 2005 Reeg MX News 2004 Reeg MX News |
